My favorite actor is Jeff Goldblum.
I know this is the reason that I like Jurrasic Park and Independence Day so much. Before you ask, I have not really seen anything else that Jeff Goldblum is in. Am I a true fan if I've not saught out to see "The Fly" or other Jeff Goldblum flicks. I think so.
I like Jeff for many reasons. He's tall, he stutters, he's quirky, seems happy in real life, and I think he gets mocked a lot; so I'm going to stay by his side. I also really enjoy how he talks.
I watched Jurrasic Park the night before I got married. I can't help but think that on some deep level I was saying goodbye to Jeff. Luke was now going to be occupying so much of my admiration, but I have to admit, there's still a place in my heart for Jeff. Last night when I watched Jurrasic Park again (still enjoy it just as much as when I saw it on TV for the first time) I couldn't help but think that there were not nearly enough scenes with Jeff Goldblum. The movie could have been so much better. If only Dr. Hammond would have listened to Dr. Ian Malcom. Jeff was sooo right. "Life finds a way." Well put, Jeff. Well put.

i don't like the way he avoids eye contact with the camera. but...i as well enjoy jeff goldblum. didn't you buy some sort of jeff goldblum jurassic park badge?
I did buy Jeff Goldblum and Will Smith badges from "Independence Day". I liked them so much that I took them to Bolivia and decorated my bunk. However, I left them there. What a disappointment and sooo sad.
I think you can be a fan without seeing all of his movies. I don't think he minds.
Deb, Amy, Steve, Andy, and I were just talking last weekend about your obsession with Jeff Goldblum--I had forgotten about that. I still remember the first time we saw Jurassic Park--that truly is a classic! Good post!
You should check out the movie Powder. I don't really remember it all that well, but I became a fan of Jeff after that movie - way back in the day.
When I went through a Jeff Goldblum phase, it was BECAUSE of his Apple commercials.
Also, you have to see the SNL sketch of Jeff and Will Farrell as Harry Carrey. It's awesome.

The Harrey Carrey sketch is awesome...only because he is possibly the only other person to be as random as Jeff G. and still be come off as entertaining crazy instead of scary crazy...Goldblum rocks.
